S2 Bali Earthquake - 19th September 2009

Miss Irvines Mum and Dad called her on Saturday afternoon to tell her that they had just been in an earthquake while on holiday in Bali. I was incredibly jealous in an odd way. They are fine and there was no damage, but they said it was an interesting experience. the earthquake measured 6.4 on the Richter scale. First person to inform me what the richter scale measures wins a prize.

2GD and 2BM Earth Forces Report

Welcome to the first entry for S2

On Tuesday 23rd of September you have an assessment due on either earthquakes or volcanoes. The way you present your piece of work is up to you. The choices are, a newspaper article for those of you who are a bit more creative or a report on a volcano or earthquake of your choice. Both of them will be marked in exactly the same manner and neither option will earn you a better grade. You will be issued with a criteria grid which you should use to achieve the grade for which you are working towards. Please use this as it gives you all the criteria you need to help you raise to that next level.

If you need any help or have any questions the classroom is always open during lunchtime and breaks and i am happy to help you with any questions you have. If you need to borrow any resources then please come and ask and i will help you in anyway i can.

Here you can find some links to pages that will get you started. Don't forget to look at the links on the right for earth forces too.
